LF Voices Collective (LFVC) grew out of years of experience—working in local newsrooms, leading community-centered projects, supporting museums, and helping organizations tell stories that matter.
I’ve been lucky to work with people who care deeply about their communities and their purpose. Those experiences shaped how I see the world—and showed me where the gaps are.
Over time, I felt a quiet pull—a sense that there was more I could build, more space I could help create for the kinds of stories that don’t always fit into traditional structures, but still need to be told.
That’s why I started LF Voices Collective.
We’re reimagining how people experience news and information—moving beyond headlines and pageviews to create something more immersive, more human, and more lasting.
LFVC is a platform, a creative practice, and a growing team. We believe storytelling should be human-first—rooted in empathy, driven by creativity, and guided by a collective vision.
This isn’t a departure from the work I’ve done before—and it’s not competition. It’s a continuation. A way to carry forward what I’ve built and learned alongside others. LFVC is designed to complement and support the people, projects, and organizations I’ve been honored to work with—not replace them.
It’s a space for collaboration, not silos. For shared growth, not scarcity.
It’s about honoring lived experience, connecting across difference, and building spaces—digital and physical—where people feel seen and heard.
Here’s what we’re working on right now:
– Publishing new stories through Amplify by LFVC
– Restoring and reimagining The ‘Sip archive
– Seeking funding and support to hire a small, values-driven team
– Partnering with newsrooms, artists, and mission-driven organizations to expand what’s possible
This isn’t about walking away from what came before. It’s about building on it—with clarity, care, and a commitment to creating something meaningful and lasting.
LFVC is the next chapter. It’s a response to what I’ve learned—and an offering for what can be.
Thanks for being here.
My Manifesto
I believe in the power of stories to transform the world.
I believe that everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories that shape our culture, our history, and our future.
I believe that storytelling is not just a product — it’s a living, breathing force for connection, courage, and change.
I am building LF Voices Collective to reclaim, reimagine, and reframe the narrative — starting in the South and reaching beyond it.
I believe in creating spaces — digital and physical — where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
I believe that the future of journalism and storytelling is human-first: rooted in empathy, fueled by creativity, and driven by collective vision.
I believe in working with integrity, leading with heart, and building with boldness.
I reject scarcity, competition, and outdated systems that no longer serve us.
I choose abundance, collaboration, and radical possibility.
I believe that the stories we tell — and the spaces we create to tell them — can heal, empower, and spark transformation.
LFVC is not just a company. It’s a movement.
It’s a home for voices that have been overlooked, underestimated, and uninvited for too long.
It’s a catalyst for a new way of experiencing news, culture, and community.
I honor my legacy — and the future I am creating.
I lead with clarity, creativity, and conviction.
I know the world needs what we are building.
And I am here to build it — with joy, with power, and with love.
This is my work. This is my calling. This is LF Voices Collective.
